Our couples always come first - it is your big day, after all. When you work with LZ Event Co., you are ensuring a flawless execution. From rearranging florals at the last minute, to wiping away your parents' tears, and even chasing alpacas through the streets of St. Louis (true story), we will do whatever it takes to make this your best day ever.
When I was 15, I was so inspired by the world of hospitality that I walked to my nearest local bakery and asked for a job - I wasn't even allowed to drive! Immediately, I was hooked. From there, I worked at some of the top venues in St. Louis and worked my way up to running banquets while still a young student.
I went on to graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in Hospitality Management Conference and Event Planning. The rest was history. I started as an intern learning the ropes of high-end weddings in St. Louis, and rose to designing luxury fêtes with six-figure wedding budgets. I learned the ins and outs of every venue in town and created connections with the best local vendors, many of whom I continue to work with today.
Now, I own and operate LZ Event Co., where my team and I work hard to bring our clients' visions to life, and have fun in the process - it is a celebration after all! During my day, I spend my time as an Event Planner for a Marriott Hotel, so I guess you could say this is my passion!
It is no secret that a successful event does not happen just with one person. Lauren, Owner & Lead Event Planner, has a passion for celebration & curation that led to starting this business. “My goal in the event planning process is to make sure our clients feel at ease and that their event is the biggest representation of their true selves.”
Sophia is our “newest” team member! New is in quotes because many of you may recognize her from past events! She has been an event assistant since 2021 but now is taking on our events by storm! Sophia and Lauren met at Mizzou and instantly hit it off as friends. The first wedding Sophia worked on as a part of Team LZ, we knew that she would be around for a while. She is the true powerhouse of any event day & we are so lucky to have her as our event producer.

More than lz
Sophia is our "bridal expert" on wedding days. As a past bride herself, she offers great knowledge during weddings for our couples. Now, as she takes on a new role as Event Producer and mom (her cutie boy Charlie turns 1 this year!), Sophia always shows that she is up for a challenge. Whether she is setting up an altar, sewing buttons on a groomsman's jacket, running music cues or setting up tables in record speed, Sophia is always there to lead your day to success!
What is one piece of advice you have for brides/couples?
- Sophia: No matter what happens the day of the wedding, because something always happens, the important part is the marriage. At the end of the day, the goal is to get you two married! Your relationship is the reason we’re all there.

I'll soon know your love story, so here's mine. I met this tall, drink of water (really, he's 6'7'’), at Mizzou our freshman year and we immediately friend-zoned each other. It wasn't until our last semester when we finally decided to give in. The rest was history. We just got MARRIED, so I got to experience the bride side of the biz! People are always surprised to find out that he's a twin because I’m a triplet. What can I say, multiples attract!
Other than being a wonderful husband (I am still not used to that word!), Josh is also a great co-worker. If I'm the brains, he's the brawn behind the operation (he's actually an electrical engineer). You might see him around- setting up the altar, carrying around heavy floral arrangements, or sneaking an extra piece of cake for me at the end of the night.
MY LOVE STORY
a little bit about
While I spend most of my time helping my clients' dreams come true, I do have a few hobbies of my own. I’m a St. Louis native. I grew up in Chesterfield with my sisters (we are triplets) and little brother. Now, I live in Maryland Heights with my hubby, Josh, and our two cats, Ollie and Ralph. We spend our evenings cooking together while binging on a hit new TV show, (Marvel, Euphoria and Stranger Things are some of our faves) and use weekends to try the hottest restaurants in town or take a walk around Forest Park. My favorite spot in all of STL is Art Hill!
I have a passion for fashion, and really anything with great design. I'm a big Taylor Swift fan (no shame) and I love to travel - especially abroad. My goal is to eventually combine my love for weddings with my love for travel. I’m willing to go wherever for my clients - all I need is a passport and a carryon.
